I don’t like pink. It can be cute on a girl, of course. But it’s not a good color on men. It makes us look like we want to be girls. I’ve tried ignoring it, but I can’t. It’s stupid, because I don’t know the colors of the curtains in the living room or the eye colors of the people I work with. Colors isn’t my thing. It’s not important. Except pink. It’s in my face. Loud and feminine. Can you believe I just bought a pink shirt? For myself! With my own money! Here’s how my wife tricked me:

I was buying a lot of clothes that day. I don’t like buying clothes, so I don’t do it that often. Anyway, with my wife’s help I gathered some decent shirts and pants and headed towards the register. That’s when she ambushed me. Satisfied with actually finding something useful and rather dizzy from being in a store too long, I heard her sweetest voice from behind; This one is nice. It would look really good on you. She handed me a stripet shirt. Narrow stripes of red and white. Yeah, why not. Red and white is ok. So I bought it.

I even thought it looked good when I got home. And when I put it on. Red and white stripes is a cool look, so I decided to wear it in public. I was shocked when I saw my reflection in a window. From a distance the shirt was PINK! Hey Wife, I’m wearing PINK! She just smiled. No, you’re not. It’s red and white. And it looks good on you. Then she kissed me and smiled again. Very satisfied with herself. I looked again. Yeah, it’s red and white. Tricked and brainwashed.

Now I kinda like the shirt.
