1970 - 1975
I pulled twenty of the top male actors from films produced during this period of time. I stopped the film when it presented the best view of the actors erection and I digitally mapped the phallus.

The average erect penis measurement of actors during this time was 5.85 inches +/- .25 inches

1976 - 1980
The measurements of the top actors during this time frame were 5.83 +/- .14 inches

1981 - 1985
The measurements of the top actors during this time were 6.46 +/- .50 inches

1986 - 1990
It was during this time that the single largest jump in measurable size took place. Average measurement was 7.49 inches +/- .30 inches

Conclusion
I find it curious that the period of time (1986 - 1990) demonstrated visually that the majority of male actors in adult films were now of a larger than normal size. Ironically…it was also during this time that men started to become interested in penis enlargement options including phalloplasty.

Of course, it’s impossible to determine which possibly was the genesis of the male enhancement movement (the movies or the general populace of men) but I find it interesting in its correlation of occurrence.
