Women know that they’re being lied to - men don’t have a clue
A new study claims that women marketers more often than their male colleagues feel that they are being lied to on the job. The scientists believe that women are more perceptive to dishonest relationships while men are blissfully ignorant, just assuming that everything’s fine. Thank you very much!
Dr. Simon Pervan of the University of Bath in England made that conclusion after interviewing 400 senior male and female marketing managers about their relationships with people from other companies in the advertising and marketing sector.
Only 48 per cent of women agreed with the statement, “We are honest with each other about the problems that arise,” while 67 per cent of men thought it was accurate.
Exactly what these numbers mean remains open for debate.
“It could be that women, being more empathic, are better able to see that the relationships at work are not honest or reciprocal, whereas men wrongly assume they are,” Pervan said.
“A cynical interpretation of the results is that men are more likely to blissfully continue in what they perceive, wrongly or rightly, as a good business relationship.”
